How many drops should I use to achieve the Forest shade?

For a rich Forest shade, several drops are needed (use eight to ten drops per 100 g, or more depending on the desired opacity), especially with white chocolate. Add in stages and allow the colorant to disperse before assessing the result.

Is this Forest colorant compatible with fondant or royal icing?

As an oil-soluble colorant, Forest is formulated for fat-based preparations: melted white, dark or milk chocolate, cocoa butter, ganache and buttercream. It is not designed for water-based preparations such as royal icing or fondant worked with water, where it will not disperse properly. Reserve it for fat-based mixtures, especially for woodland-themed decorations and Christmas creations.

Should I shake the bottle before use?

Yes, a slight pigment deposit may form while the bottle is standing. Shake the Forest bottle for a few seconds before each use to ensure an even shade from the first drop.
