Edible pens
Edible ink pens and chocolate writing tubes for drawing, writing and personalizing cookies, sugar paste and cake decorations.
Pens or writing tubes
Edible ink pens draw precisely on dry surfaces: figurine faces, outlines on iced cookies, messages on sugar paste plaques. Multicolor sets cover everyday needs.
Chocolate writing tubes (25 g, assorted colors) apply a raised line directly onto the cake: names, borders, patterns. Soften them for a few seconds in a warm bain-marie before use.
What surfaces can you write on?
Markers work on dry, smooth surfaces: crusted fondant, hardened royal icing, white chocolate transfer sheets, and wafer paper. On a greasy or damp surface (buttercream, fresh ganache), the ink won't take; use a chocolate writing tube instead.
Frequently asked questions
How long should fondant dry before writing on it?
Leave it in the open air for at least 2 to 3 hours to let the surface crust over; ideally, leave it overnight for a clean line without snags.
Does chocolate writing icing harden?
Yes, it sets at room temperature in about ten minutes and can then be handled without smudging.
A marker dries out quickly. How do I care for it?
Close it immediately after use and store it flat with the tip protected.
