How can I prevent the fondant from cracking when covering a cake?
Knead the fondant for 2 to 3 minutes to soften it before rolling it out. Roll it to a thickness of 4–5 mm on a work surface dusted with icing sugar, then smooth it from the centre towards the edges without trapping air bubbles. If it cracks, smooth it with your finger and a drop of water.
Can this multipack be used to create a pink gradient on the same cake?
Yes, the 5 shades (white, pastel, soft, pretty, vivid) naturally form a gradient, from the lightest to the most saturated Hot Pink.
