How many drops should I use to achieve the Fuchsia shade?

Use approximately four to six drops per 100 g of fat-based mixture for a well-defined Fuchsia shade. Add gradually to melted chocolate or lukewarm buttercream, mixing between each addition.

Is this Fuchsia colorant suitable for fondant or royal icing?

As an oil-soluble colorant, Fuchsia is formulated for fat-based preparations: melted white, dark or milk chocolate, cocoa butter, ganache and buttercream. It is not designed for water-based preparations such as royal icing or fondant worked with water, where it will not disperse properly: reserve it for fat-based mixtures, especially for birthday cakes and highly colorful decorations.

Should I shake the bottle before use?

Yes, a slight pigment deposit may form while standing. Shake the Fuchsia bottle for a few seconds before each use to ensure an even shade from the first drop.
