Frequently asked questions
Can it be used on fresh cream (whipped ganache, whipped cream)?
Yes, but apply it at the last moment just before serving — the moisture in the cream gradually absorbs the powder and reduces its shine after a few hours.
Is it suitable for children's preparations?
Contains E129, which may have effects on children's activity and attention. This must be mentioned on creations intended for children, in accordance with European regulations.
How much should be used for one cake?
A few milligrams are sufficient — lightly applying it with a dry brush to a Ø20cm entremets uses less than 0.2g. The 5g jar covers approximately 25 pieces.
What is the difference compared with luster dust?
Glitter powder provides a sparkling shine with visible particles (a “glitter” effect). Luster dust gives a subtler, uniform pearlescent satin effect. Both complement each other depending on the desired intensity.
