Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between praline and hazelnut paste?
The praline contains roasted nuts (almonds and hazelnuts) AND caramelized sugar, which are then ground together. Pure hazelnut paste contains only roasted hazelnuts, with no sugar. Praline is sweeter and creamier.
What is the consistency of Valrhona praline?
Valrhona Almond Hazelnut Praline has a ready-to-use, melt-in-the-mouth texture: neither too firm nor too runny. Ideal for filling chocolates or mixing with tempered chocolate for entremet inserts.
How should the praline be stored?
At room temperature (16–18 °C), protected from light, in its resealed packaging. No refrigeration required. Once opened, consume within 3 months to preserve the aroma.
What sizes are available?
This Valrhona praline is available in the following sizes: 300g, 5kg. The 5kg size offers the best price per kg, ideal for regular production workshops.
