Which surfaces does this marker work best on?
On dry or semi-hard surfaces: sugar paste, marzipan, gum paste and modeling paste. It does not glide well on a damp or greasy surface.
Can it be used directly on chocolate?
That is not its primary purpose: water-based ink adheres poorly to a greasy surface such as chocolate. To write on chocolate, use a ready-to-use icing pen instead.
