Feather texture veiner for a realistic finish in sugar paste
This silicone veiner imprints a realistic feather texture onto a piece of paste previously cut to the desired shape, rather than molding a shape in a cavity. It includes several feather templates and two vein-marking areas for cake and cupcake decorations.

Recommended uses
- Sugar paste, gum paste, modeling paste, marzipan, chocolate or candy for feather decorations
- Cold porcelain, salt dough, air-drying clay or embossing powder for crafts
- Feather-, bird- or angel-themed cake and cupcake decorations
Tip: Cut the paste into the desired feather shape, place it on the veiner, press firmly to mark the central grooves, then remove it carefully. A pinch of cornflour makes handling easier. Wash and dry the veiner before first use.

What is the difference between this veiner and a traditional cavity mold?
The veiner does not shape the paste in three dimensions: you first cut out the feather shape with a cutter or cookie cutter, then press the veiner onto it to imprint the grooves and veins on the surface.
How can I create a slightly curved rather than flat feather?
After using the veiner, place the feather while it is still flexible on a slightly rounded support, such as an upside-down log mold, while it dries to give it a natural curve.
Are all the proposed feather templates on the same plate?
Yes, the large feather, straight feather and small feather, along with the two large and small vein areas, are grouped on the same 151 x 129 mm plate.
