Yes, it is intended for thin, lightweight petals. For fuller petals or an entire medium-sized flower, choose gauge 24 or 26, which are more rigid.
Can it be combined with thicker gauges on the same flower?
Yes, and it is even recommended: make the main stem with a thicker gauge (18 to 22), then use gauge 28 for the petals and details for a light, natural look.
Can this wire be cut easily?
Yes, its fine diameter makes it very easy to cut with wire cutters to the exact size needed for each petal or detail in the arrangement.
