PME Cake Lustre Spray Silver is a food-grade aerosol that applies a silver metallic veil in a single pass to sugar paste, gum paste, or dry icing. It eliminates the need for a brush and the dilution required for conventional edible paint.
It complements the PME Cake range of finishes alongside velvet sprays and clear lacquer, providing an even glossy finish on tiered cakes, sculpted cakes, and raised decorations.

Recommended uses
- Uniform metallic veil on thoroughly dried sugar paste or gum paste
- Highlighting raised details, chocolate mouldings, and poured sugar decorations
- Quickly touching up a dull area on an already smoothed icing
Please note: Shake the can before use, spray from a distance of 20–25 cm in fine, crossing layers, and allow to dry for a few seconds between passes to prevent runs.
Which surfaces can Lustre Spray Silver be applied to?
Any dry surface: sugar paste, gum paste, almond paste, modelling chocolate, or well-set icing. A matte base provides better adhesion for the metallic veil than a damp or greasy surface.
How many coats are needed for a covering effect?
Two to three fine passes are generally sufficient. Several light coats are better than one thick coat, which may run or saturate the decoration's relief.
What is the difference between this and Lustre Spray Silver 400 ml?
The formula and glossy silver finish are the same; only the capacity differs: 100 ml for a single piece, 400 ml for repeated professional use.
