Frequently asked questions

How many cake pops can I coat with one 125 g bag of Rose?

Approximately 15 to 18 classic cake pops (an average of 8 g of wafers per cake pop). For an 18 to 20 cm drip cake, plan on 80 to 100 g instead.

How can I thin wafers that are too thick after melting?

Add 1/2 teaspoon of neutral vegetable oil (sunflower or grapeseed) per 125 g, never water: the mixture would set instantly.

Does Rose require tempering like chocolate?

No. Candy Melts are a ready-to-use coating mixture: gentle melting is all that is needed, with no temperature curve to follow.

What is the difference between Wilton Rose Candy Melts and couverture chocolate?

Candy Melts are a sugar- and vegetable-fat-based coating mixture without cocoa butter: they melt more easily (no tempering required), but do not have the flavor profile of couverture chocolate.
