Squires Kitchen - Flower Paste

Ultra-fine Flower Paste 1 kg

Professional-size Sugar Florist Paste, designed for batch production.

The 1 kg format of Squires Kitchen Sugar Florist Paste (SFP) meets the needs of workshops that have to prepare large quantities of sugar flowers with a consistent texture from one piece to the next: tiered wedding cakes, celebration cakes, edible bouquets or competition cakes.

Features

  • Ultra-fine texture, regardless of the quantity being worked
  • Does not crack, even when rolled very thinly for batch production
  • Controlled drying, useful for assembling multiple pieces
  • Suitable for structural flowers: roses, peonies, dahlias, lilies, orchids
  • Made in England to BRC standards
  • Suitable for vegetarians

Usage tips

  • Knead until the paste is soft and slightly elastic
  • Roll out very thinly on a non-stick surface lightly dusted with cornflour
  • Work in stages: cutting, veining, shaping, then partially drying before assembly
  • Colour throughout with gel colouring, then add shading as a finishing touch with powdered colouring
  • Allow sufficient drying time before final assembly on the celebration cake

Please note: store in an airtight container away from heat and light. Ingredients: sugar, glucose syrup, water, corn starch, emulsifier (cellulose gum), preservative (acetic acid). Suitable for vegetarians.

Frequently asked questions

Is this 1 kg format intended for professionals?

It is mainly designed for large quantities (workshops, training sessions, tiered wedding cakes). For just a few flowers, the 200 g format is more economical.

Does the paste remain consistent throughout the 1 kg block?

Yes, the formulation is identical to that of the 200 g format: only the quantity changes, not the texture or drying time.

How should work be organised when using a large quantity?

Take out only the amount needed and seal the remainder tightly to prevent it from drying before use.
