How can I prevent the fondant from cracking when covering a cake?
Knead the fondant for 2 to 3 minutes to soften it, roll it out to a thickness of 4 or 5 mm, and smooth it from the center toward the edges without leaving air bubbles. If cracks appear, smooth them with your finger and a drop of water.
