The Classic Knit Simpress silicone mold from Marvelous Molds offers a professional solution to reproduce classic knit stitch texture to cover an entire cake side on your pastry creations. Made in the United States from food-grade silicone, it works with sugar paste, marzipan, fondant, tempered chocolate, and gum paste.

The flexible design of Marvelous Molds allows clean unmolding even on detailed patterns. The silicone withstands temperatures up to 200°C, allowing use with heated modeling paste. Compatible with all types of cake design cakes: layer cakes, wedding cakes, number cakes, cupcakes, decorated cookies.

Directions for use

  1. Preparation: lightly dust the mold with cornstarch or powdered sugar to facilitate unmolding. For chocolate, chill the mold in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
  2. Application: firmly press the sugar paste, fondant, or marzipan into the mold. For deep patterns, first work the dough by hand so it penetrates the details.
  3. Unmolding: turn the mold over on a flat surface and gently flex the silicone to release the pattern. The flexibility of the silicone allows clean unmolding even on fine details.
  4. Applying to the cake: lightly moisten the cake surface with a brush and water, or use a thin layer of marzipan as an adhesive layer. Gently press the pattern in place.
  5. Finish: let harden 30 to 60 minutes in open air before handling or adding luster color.

Care and maintenance

  • Wash with warm soapy water, rinse with clear water, and air dry.
  • Dishwasher safe (top rack, moderate temperature).
  • Store flat or hanging, protected from dust and direct heat.
  • Avoid contact with sharp or pointed objects that could damage the silicone.
