Yes, the 40 x 40 cm base accommodates a cake or board up to approximately 35 cm, leaving enough space to slide your hands underneath when positioning it.
Can the cake be refrigerated directly in the box?
A short period in the refrigerator is possible, but cardboard is susceptible to prolonged moisture. It is preferable to refrigerate the cake on its own and put it in the box just before transport.
Is there a more compact size for a smaller cake?
