Chocolate Brown Fondant 250g
Chocolate brown throughout for covering and modeling
Colour Mill Chocolate Brown Fondant is a professional-quality, ready-to-use fondant colored throughout: a warm, deep chocolate brown, close to rich milk chocolate. Supple texture, controlled elasticity, and rolls out smoothly without cracking or tearing.
250g size, designed for small decorative details, modeled flowers, and individual projects rather than covering a whole cake. It can be worked without sticking excessively to the work surface and retains its properties for several weeks after opening if resealed properly.

Recommended uses
- Modeling bears, animals, and figurines for birthday cakes
- Autumn decorations: tree trunks, bark, fallen leaves
- Chocolate-colored finishes on layer cakes and family celebrations
Instructions
- Take the fondant out 30 minutes before use to bring it to room temperature, then knead it in your hands for 1 to 2 minutes to soften it
- Roll it out on a surface lightly dusted with icing sugar or cornstarch: 3 mm thick for covering, 2 mm for fine decorations
- Place it on a cold cake (ganache or set buttercream), smooth from the top down the sides using a smoother in circular motions; wrap the remaining fondant directly in plastic wrap and store in an airtight container
Ingredients and allergens
Ingredients: Sugar, glucose, water, glycerol, corn starch, thickeners: E415, E405, color: E172, natural flavoring (vanilla), preservative: E202.
Please note: The cake must be completely cold and smooth before covering: soft ganache or buttercream can cause the fondant to slip or become marked. Remove any remaining air bubbles with a fine needle rather than pressing the surface.
Frequently asked questions
Is this brown fondant suitable for modeling a tree trunk?
Yes, when textured with a blade or a stippling brush, it recreates the relief of bark very well.
Can you darken this fondant for a dark chocolate effect?
Yes, by adding a small amount of black fondant until you reach the desired depth of color.
Will this color stain other colors on contact?
Dark colors may bleed slightly after prolonged contact with damp white fondant; keep the pieces separate until completely dry.
