Start by kneading the sugar paste to make it soft and easy to roll out. You can also add a little Magic Roll Out to prevent it from sticking to the work surface.
Spread the sugar paste into a thin layer using a rolling pin . You can also use a silicone work mat to make the process easier.
Carefully lift the rolled out sugar paste and place it on your cake. Smooth the surface of the fondant with your hands or a smoothing tool to remove air bubbles and wrinkles.
Trim the edges of the fondant to fit snugly around the cake.
To add sugar paste decorations, use cookie cutters to cut out shapes or molds to create three-dimensional figures. Attach them to the surface of the sugar paste with a little water or royal icing .
Let the sugar paste sit for a few hours to harden before serving the cake.
