Application and Success Tips
-
Gentle Melting: Heat at medium power in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each step until you get a smooth texture.
-
Adjusting Fluidity: If you want an even more fluid texture for a very thin coating, you can add a few drops of vegetable oil or cocoa butter.
-
Drying: Deco Melts harden quickly at room temperature, but a short time in the refrigerator will enhance their shine and make unmolding easier.

All About Deco Melts (Tips & Tricks)
What is the difference between Deco Melts and white chocolate? Deco Melts do not contain cocoa butter but vegetable fats. This makes them much easier to handle as they do not require following a precise temperature curve (tempering) to shine and harden. It is the ideal product for quick decorations and colored coatings.
How to get a perfect "Drip" on my cake? Wait for your melted Deco Melts to cool slightly so they are less liquid. Test a drip on the edge of a bowl: if it stops halfway, the consistency is perfect. Apply on a well-cooled cake to set the movement instantly.
Can any colorant be used with Deco Melts? No, this is an important technical point. Since Deco Melts are made of vegetable fats, you must use oil-based (liposoluble) colorants (like Colour Mill). A water-based colorant would cause the preparation to seize and become unusable.
