How to install a pastry tip into a piping bag?

Start by inserting the tip inside the piping bag. Then push part of the bag through the tip to form a sort of stopper. After that, fold a portion of the top of the bag over your hand to form a collar. Your piping bag is now ready to be filled with your favorite mixture.

Once your bag is filled, close it by twisting and remove the stopper by pulling on the tip.

How to handle a pastry tip?

Hold the piping bag with your dominant hand (right for right-handed, left for left-handed) by the knot at its top. Guide the tip with your other hand. Generally, place the tip at a 45° angle to your work surface and apply pressure with your hand to expel the mixture. The angle of the tip may vary depending on the decoration you want to create.
