Colour Mill Hot Pink Water-Soluble Food Coloring

Hot Pink shade, 20 ml bottle for water-based mixtures

Colour Mill Water-Soluble Hot Pink evokes glamorous pink and 90s magazine covers. This water-based food coloring is designed for water-based baking mixtures: royal icing, water-based glazes, syrups, meringues, and macarons. This shade is especially popular for decorated royal icing cookies in a very trendy theme, teen girls' and young adults' birthdays.

Features

  • Concentrated water-soluble food coloring for water-based mixtures: royal icing, water-based glazes, syrups, meringues, macarons
  • Not suitable for fatty bases (chocolate, ganache, cocoa butter): water makes chocolate seize
  • 20 ml soft squeeze bottle with dropper for precise dosing
  • Shade remains stable after royal icing has dried completely (about 24 h), with no change in tone
  • Gluten-free, lactose-free, egg-free, peanut-free, soy-free

Usage instructions

  • Shake the bottle before use and mix into a room-temperature base (18 to 22 °C)
  • Typical dosage: 2 to 4 drops per 250 g for a pastel shade, up to 20 drops for a dark shade
  • Mix, then leave to rest for 15 minutes before adjusting the shade if needed
  • To color chocolate or ganache, use the Colour Mill oil-soluble range, not this water-soluble colorant

Your questions, our advice

Can this food coloring be used in melted chocolate?

No: this is a water-based, water-soluble food coloring. In chocolate or ganache, water causes the fat to seize. For these bases, use the oil-soluble Colour Mill range.

Should I adjust the amount according to the quantity of preparation?

Yes, the suggested amount is for 250 g of base: double or triple the number of drops proportionally for larger quantities.

How should I store the 20 ml bottle after opening?

Close it tightly after each use, store it away from light at 15 to 22 °C, and use it within 12 months to preserve the intensity of the pigments.
