Oil-based food color for chocolate, ganaches and fat-based mixtures.
Colour Mill Purple is a concentrated, oil-soluble food color in a 20 ml dropper bottle. Its oil-based formula blends directly into chocolate, cocoa butter, ganaches and rich creams without making the mixture grainy. The Purple shade gives a deep, crisp violet between blue and pink, with no gray undertone.
Ingredients: Humectant: E422, vegetable oil (rapeseed), colorants: E151, E120, emulsifiers: E322, E433.
Like any concentrated food color, Purple may slightly stain porous surfaces or skin on direct contact. Wear gloves and quickly clean surfaces with hot, soapy water.
No: Purple is an oil-based, oil-soluble food color. It blends with fats (chocolate, ganache, cocoa butter, buttercream) but does not dissolve in water-based mixtures such as classic royal icing.
When tightly closed and stored away from light and heat, the bottle of Purple retains its properties for several months. Check the best-before date on the label.
