This water-based food coloring is designed for water-based baking mixtures: royal icing, water-based icings, syrups, meringues, and macarons. It makes a natural addition to cookies with royal icing, romantic earthy wedding cakes, and cupcakes with icing for a baby shower for a girl in a soft color palette.

Features

Usage tips
- Shake the bottle before use and mix into a base at room temperature (18 to 22 °C)
- Typical dosage: 2 to 4 drops per 250 g for a pastel shade, up to 20 drops for a dark shade
- Mix, then leave to stand for 15 minutes before adjusting the shade if needed
- To color chocolate or ganache, use the oil-soluble Colour Mill range, not this water-soluble colorant

Can this colorant be used in melted chocolate?
No: this colorant is water-soluble and water-based. In chocolate or ganache, water causes the fat to seize. For these bases, use the Colour Mill oil-soluble range.
Should the dosage be adjusted according to the quantity of mixture?
Yes, the recommended dosage is for 250 g of mixture: double or triple the number of drops proportionally for larger quantities.
How should I store the 20 ml bottle after opening?
Close it tightly after each use, store away from light at 15 to 22 °C, and use within 12 months to preserve the pigment intensity.
