Yes, on soft modeling chocolate, as well as fondant and sugar paste.
Should I press twice for a more pronounced embossing?
No, one firm, vertical press is enough; pressing twice may double or blur the design.
Do I need an extra tool to paint the Stegosaurus's raised back plates?
A fine brush and food coloring are all you need to detail the raised back plates.
