Your questions, our advice
Is this green oil-soluble colorant suitable for couverture chocolate?
Yes, that is precisely the main use of an oil-soluble colorant: it disperses in fats such as chocolate, cocoa butter, or ganache, unlike a water-soluble colorant.
Can this green colorant be used in a water-based preparation such as a water icing?
An oil-soluble colorant is not designed for water-based preparations: it does not disperse properly in water and leaves visible specks; for these uses, a water-soluble colorant is more suitable.
Does the green coloring require a child warning on the label?
As the supplier has not provided full details of the ingredients for this size, check the ingredient list on the label you receive: colorings in this shade family are often subject to the regulatory warning about children's activity and attention when they are based on certain synthetic colorings.
