TIPS FOR USE
- Center the cake base on the drum to leave an even border for sugar paste flowers, macarons, or fresh fruit.
- Cover the edge of the board with ribbon that matches the theme, secured with a dab of edible glue.
- Secure the bottom tier with a dab of royal icing or ganache to keep it in place during transport.
- Always place the drum on a flat surface before assembling the cake, and keep it flat in the trunk when transporting it by car.

What’s the difference between a cake drum and a cake board?
The drum is 1.2 cm thick and serves as a permanent load-bearing base, while a thin board separates tiers. For a tiered cake, use both.
Can the cake be placed directly on the board?
Yes, the aluminum coating is food-safe. A dab of ganache or royal icing under the bottom tier is enough to secure the cake.
