Steps
-
Prepare 500 g of FunCakes Biscuit Mix according to the instructions on the package and knead in the FunCakes Sugar Sprinkles. Wrap the dough in cling film and chill in the refrigerator for one hour.
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan).
-
Knead the dough taken from the refrigerator and roll it out with Magic Roll-out powder to a thickness of about 2-3 mm, cut out bears and place them on the baking tray. Bake the biscuits for about 10-12 minutes until they are slightly golden, then let them cool flat on the work surface.
-
Knead the sugar paste well, mix a little brown and white if necessary to get a lighter color for the paws/ears. Cut shapes for the paws and ears with the oval plunger cutters and reduce them if needed by removing a small edge with the plunger.
-
Roll out the brown, white, and ivory sugar paste and cut out bears with the cutter. Stick them with a little warmed apricot jam onto the biscuits. To create a fur effect on the bears, prick the sugar paste with the no. 018 piping tip to create a fur texture. Stick the oval shapes onto the paws and ears with edible glue.
-
For the muzzle, roll a small piece of sugar paste into a ball and flatten it between your fingers. Stick it onto the head. Using the back of the brush, make two holes above the muzzle and stick two black sugar pearls in them.
-
For the nose, color a piece of brown sugar paste with the dark brown food coloring gel. Form small noses with this piece and stick them onto the muzzle with a little edible glue. Finish the muzzle with the brown edible pen.
