Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C convection) and grease the 2 pans with FunCakes Bake Release spray.
-
Prepare 400 g of FunCakes Deluxe Sponge Cake Mix according to package instructions and divide the batter evenly among the 2 pans. Bake cakes about 30-35 minutes until fully cooked. Remove from oven, invert onto a rack, and let cool.
-
Prepare 400 g of FunCakes Enchanted Cream® Mix according to package instructions and flavor with FunCakes Elderflower Flavor Paste.
-
Cut both cakes using the 2x leveler and stack them alternating with Enchanted Cream®. Start and finish the layering with the cake base for a straight result.
-
Insert two rods vertically through the cake and cut them to the correct length. Place the cake on the turntable and spread a thick layer of Enchanted Cream® all around.
-
Use the PME long plastic scraper to draw tight striations around the cake.
-
Divide the remaining Enchanted Cream® into sections and color each with the FunCakes food gels. Place the different colored creams into piping bags, cutting just a small tip off each.
-
Swirl the colored cream between the striations on the cake. Once all colors are applied, use the smooth side of the scraper to smooth the surface again.
-
Place a sheet of plastic wrap on the work surface, spread the remaining colored cream lengthwise, and roll it into a log. Cut 1 from this roll and put it into a piping bag fitted with tip no. 1M. Pipe a beautiful colored border on top of the cake and sprinkle with FunCakes Pastel Nonpareils.
-
Gently press the FunCakes wafer flowers and leaves onto the cake.
