Steps
-
Prepare 500 g of FunCakes cookie mix as indicated on the packaging. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
-
Knead the cooled dough briefly until smooth and roll it out on a lightly floured surface to about 2-3 mm thickness. Cut out ghost shapes and place them on the tray. Bake the cookies for 9-12 minutes until fully cooked. Let them cool completely flat.
-
Heat the jar of apricot jam in the microwave and strain it through a sieve, pressing with the back of a spoon. This will create an apricot glaze to brush on the cookies.
-
Knead the FunCakes Bright White fondant until smooth and roll it out thinly on a surface dusted with powdered sugar. Cut out as many ghost shapes as cookies and attach them to the cookies with the apricot glaze. Create folds in the ghost gowns by drawing lines with a flute/veining tool.
-
Knead all pieces of colored fondant until smooth and cut out blossoming flowers. Attach the flowers to the ghosts using edible glue. For the sunglasses, use a slightly larger flower and press a flattened ball of black fondant in the center. Attach them to the ghosts. Finally, use a food pen to finish the sunglasses and draw the eyes and mouths.
