Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C with fan) and grease the pans with release spray.
-
Prepare 400 g of FunCakes Deluxe Sponge Cake Mix according to the package instructions. Divide the batter between the two greased pans and bake approximately 30-35 minutes. Remove the cakes from the pans onto a rack and let cool.
-
Prepare 400 g of FunCakes Buttercream Mix according to the package instructions. Flavor the buttercream with the flavor paste.
-
Place several small bowls and add a generous spoonful of buttercream into each. Color each portion with the FunCakes food coloring gels. Divide the remaining buttercream into two parts, coloring one half purple and the other lemon green.
-
Cut each sponge cake into three equal layers using the cake leveler and fill with a thin layer of purple and lemon green buttercream. Place a cake board cut to size between the two cakes. Cover the entire outside of the cake with purple buttercream. Smooth with a spatula then use the single-edge scraper with the turntable for a neat finish. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for half an hour.
-
Meanwhile, prepare as many piping bags with couplers and tip #002 as you have colors. Fill the bags with buttercream and decorate the cake with Halloween motifs like spider webs, ghosts, stars, candies, etc.
-
Place the lemon green buttercream in a piping bag fitted with the #1M tip and pipe 8 beautiful swirls on top of the cake. Decorate half of the swirls with Stylish Halloween sprinkles and place a sugar ghost on the other half.
