Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C in convection mode).
-
Prepare 250 grams of FunCakes cupcake mix according to the package instructions. Grease the molds with release spray and distribute the batter in the molds. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden. Let them cool on a rack after baking.
-
Brush the cakes with warm apricot jam. Knead 700 grams of white sugar paste well, then roll it out on a surface dusted with icing sugar until it is 2 mm thick. Place the sugar paste on the foam pad, then press the brick pattern impression mat onto the sugar paste, repeating the process. Use this sugar paste to cover the cakes. Use the pastry wheel to cut a strip 2 bricks wide and glue it with edible glue to the front of the cakes to create an igloo.
-
Color the remaining sugar paste dark green and roll it out to a thickness of 1 to 2 mm. Cut out many snowflakes of all sizes using the plunger cutters. For each tree, plan about 6 snowflakes of each size. Glue them by overlapping.
-
Prepare 100 grams of FunCakes royal icing mix according to the package instructions. Cover the cake board with decorating gel, then cover it with the white sugar paste. Place the cakes on the covered board and create snowy edges on the igloo using the royal icing and a brush. Glue the trees and penguins on the board with a little royal icing and add snow on the trees.
