Steps
-
Prepare 500 g of FunCakes Cookie Mix as indicated on the package. Let rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Peel and chop the apples into small pieces then sprinkle with vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Mix everything well.
-
Meanwhile, prepare the pastry cream. Prepare 100 g of FunCakes Pastry Cream Mix with 250 ml of water. Whisk this mixture for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let the cream set for a moment.
-
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1 cm thickness and cut circles about 7 cm in diameter. Grease the muffin pan and line the inside of the cavities with the dough. Sprinkle a bit of breadcrumbs at the bottom. This way, moisture will not seep into the dough.
-
Preheat the oven to 170 °C (convection oven: 150 °C).
-
Fill the cavities with a layer of pastry cream then place the apple mixture on top. Cover the tarts with dough strips or crumbled dough. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes until golden.
-
Finish with a nice spoonful of whipped cream!
