Steps
-
This recipe is for 2 half-domes!
-
Preheat the oven to 175 °C (160 °C fan) and grease the half-domes with FunCakes release spray.
-
Prepare the 125 g FunCakes buttercream mix according to package instructions and flavor with the flavor paste.
-
Prepare the 250 g FunCakes Deluxe sponge cake mix according to package instructions and divide the batter into the half-domes. Bake the sponges for about 30-35 minutes, then let them cool on a rack.
-
Cut the half-domes twice with the cake saw, fill, and spread a thin layer of buttercream all around. Put the remaining buttercream into a piping bag fitted with the #1M tip.
-
Knead the sugarpaste until smooth, roll it out to about 2-3 mm thickness, and cover the half-domes with it.
-
Spray the domes with the metallic spray and let dry. Pipe small buttercream rosettes around the cake and sprinkle some decorations on top.
