Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan oven 180°C).
-
Mix 250 g flour, 2 eggs, 125 g sugar, 125 g FunCakes powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor, 1 tablespoon mandarin flavor, and 1½ teaspoons baking powder to obtain a homogeneous dough. Then incorporate 125 g sliced almonds, 75 g hazelnuts, and 50 g pistachios into the dough. Reserve a few sliced almonds for topping.
-
Divide the dough into four parts and form four dough rolls. Do this on a floured work surface. Place the rolls on the baking paper and brush them with beaten egg. Sprinkle a few sliced almonds on top. Bake the biscuits for about 20 to 25 minutes.
-
Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately cut them into diagonal slices. Place them back on the baking tray and return to the oven. Lower the oven to 130°C and continue baking the biscuits for another 10 minutes.
