Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C).
-
Prepare 500 g of FunCakes cupcake mix according to the package instructions. Grease the pan with baking spray and bake the cake for about 55-65 minutes. Let the cake cool on a cooling rack.
-
Prepare 125 g of FunCakes buttercream mix according to the package instructions. Flavor the buttercream with FunCakes cherry flavor paste.
-
Melt some black FunCakes Deco Melts in the microwave according to the package instructions and put it into a piping bag. Fill the eyes, nose, and mouth of the mold with the black Deco Melts and let harden in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
-
Melt the other colors of Deco Melts separately in the microwave according to the package instructions and apply a layer in the mold with a brush, then let set again for 10-15 minutes in the refrigerator. Repeat this step once more and if necessary, a third time.
-
Put some cherry-flavored buttercream in a piping bag and cut a tip. Cut the cake into slices and adjust them to fit into the mold. Place a slice in the mold and spread a layer of buttercream on top. Make sure it does not exceed the edge. Place in the refrigerator for half an hour to set the buttercream.
-
Finish the top with the melted Deco Melts and smooth with a spatula. Let dry again in the refrigerator. Then carefully remove from the mold. Repeat all these steps with all the colors of Deco Melts.
-
Mix all the nonpareils in a bowl. Melt some black Deco Melts according to the package instructions and spread it on the sides with a brush, then immediately roll in the sprinkles. Return to the refrigerator for 5 to 10 minutes.
