Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for convection oven).

  2. Prepare 500 g of FunCakes Cupcake Mix according to the package instructions. Grease the pan with Baking Release Spray then pour in the batter. Bake the cake for 55-60 minutes, then unmold it onto a rack to cool completely.

  3. Melt some White Fondant Chocolate at 450 W (max. 500 W). Stir well every 15-20 seconds. Stop heating when the chocolate is almost fully melted (a few small pieces visible). Continue stirring until smooth.

  4. Crumble the cake, then mix it with some melted white chocolate until you get a homogeneous dough. Form balls of about 20 g and let rest in the refrigerator for half an hour.

  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip the end of a stick in the green fondant chocolate, then insert the chocolate-coated end into the dough ball. This will prevent the balls from slipping off the sticks. Then place the cake pops in the freezer for half an hour to one hour.

  6. Melt 450 g of Green Fondant Chocolate the same way and deepen the color with the holly green food coloring gel.

  7. Take the cake pops out of the freezer and dip them in the green chocolate. Tap off the excess on the edge of the bowl and immediately sprinkle with gold nonpareils.

  8. Place the cake pops back in the refrigerator to harden. Tip! Make these cake pops for a botanical baby shower, alongside other recipes from this sweet table!
