Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C convection oven) and grease the pans with baking spray.
-
Prepare 400 g FunCakes Deluxe Sponge Cake Mix as instructed on the package, then divide the batter into the 2 pans. Bake the cakes for about 30-35 minutes until fully cooked, then immediately cool them on a cooling rack after baking.
-
Prepare 200 g FunCakes Buttercream Mix as instructed on the package and flavor with the flavoring paste. Take about 2 tablespoons of buttercream and color it light green with the bright green gel, color the rest with the two grass green gels.
-
Cut each cake 2 times with the cake leveler, then fill them with jam of your choice and a thin layer of green buttercream. Stack the two cakes on top of each other using a cake board and the dowels cut to the correct length.
-
Cover the entire outside of the cake with the green buttercream firmly, placing the cake on the turntable and using the side scraper to smooth. Let the cake set in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
-
Knead the white and black sugar paste well then roll out to 2-3 mm thickness. Use the largest hexagon cutter from the set and make as many shapes as needed.
-
Attach the hexagons against the cake; there is no need to use edible glue as they stick to the buttercream.
-
Prepare a piping bag fitted with the adapter and tip no. 233 and fill with the light green buttercream. Pipe a grass border along the bottom and top of the cake. Attach the goal and a player on some sprayed grass.
