Steps

  1. Color the 500 g of FunCakes Bright White sugar paste in several shades of green, yellow, and light blue. Place 1 dinosaur coloring page inside the plastic sleeve and cut out the individual parts on the other sheets. Coat the back of the paper parts with Crisco, otherwise they will stick to your fondant. TIP! Make the dinosaur decoration two days in advance so it dries properly!

  2. Roll out the sugar paste thinly and cut large and small leaves. Let dry for 2 days! Place the cut-out dinosaur parts on the sugar paste and cut them neatly with the pastry wheel. Finish the edges with the Flower/Leaf modeling tool. TIP! Place all parts on the plastic sleeve with the dinosaur image, so you will know where each element should be positioned.

  3. Use the smallest oval cutter for the dinosaur scales. Cut them out and cut them in half. Then, glue them on the back. Assemble all the dinosaur parts with a little edible glue and let dry in open air for 2 days!

  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan oven) and grease the pan with the non-stick spray.

  5. Prepare 150 g FunCakes Deluxe biscuit mix according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes until fully cooked. Immediately unmold after baking onto a rack to cool.

  6. Prepare 200 g FunCakes buttercream mix according to the package instructions.

  7. Cut the biscuit into 2 layers using the cake leveler and generously fill with jam and buttercream between the layers and on the sides. Chill in the refrigerator for half an hour to firm up.

  8. Knead the FunCakes White modeling paste until smooth and cover the cake with it. Smooth well and adjust the paste around the cake with the smoother. Cut off excess sugar paste.

  9. Take a piece of green sugar paste and knead a large hazelnut-sized amount of Crisco into it. Place this paste into the extruder with a small hole and form a long cord. Glue loops of this cord on the side of the cake with some edible glue. Roll out all other colors of sugar paste thinly and cut out bunting flags. Glue them along the bunting cord with a little edible glue. Add some small leaves above the garland.

  10. Lightly color the remaining buttercream green and put it in a piping bag fitted with the adapter and #032 tip. Pipe a nice shell border along the bottom edge.

  11. Insert a skewer into the top of the cake, attach the dinosaur and some large leaves using the buttercream, and then decorate as you wish with large and small leaves.
