Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 175°C (convection oven 160°C).
-
Prepare 250 grams of FunCakes sponge cake mix according to the preparation instructions. Fill a greased pan 1/2 to 2/3 full with the batter and bake the cake for about 30 to 35 minutes. Do not open the oven during baking! The cake is ready when it springs back to the touch. Unmold immediately after baking and let cool on a rack.
-
Prepare 200 grams of FunCakes buttercream mix according to the package instructions and add crème brûlée flavor paste to taste. Cut the sponge cake in half and fill the layers with the crème brûlée buttercream. Reserve some buttercream to spread later on the sides of the cake.
-
Prepare 100 grams of FunCakes custard cream mix according to the package instructions and add vanilla seeds. Spread the custard evenly over the top of the sponge cake. Spread a thin layer of buttercream on the sides of the cake so that each part of the sponge is covered with a thin film.
-
Sprinkle a thick layer of cane sugar on the custard and caramelize the sugar with a crème brûlée torch until the sugar is melted and nicely golden.
