Christmas Tree Forest Cake
Original FunCakes recipe
Christmas is fast approaching, and that means Christmas trees everywhere! We love Christmas trees, which is why we created a Christmas tree forest cake. Do you buy your tree in a store, or do you go to the forest to cut it yourself?

Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C convection).
-
Prepare 250 grams of the FunCakes sponge cake mix as directed on the package. Grease the pan with release spray and fill it with the batter. Bake the sponge cake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden. Remove from the pan onto a cooling rack and let cool.
-
Mix 500 ml whipped cream with 250 grams mascarpone and 3 tablespoons powdered sugar in a bowl until the mixture is firm. Cut the sponge cake in half and then in half again, and fill with the mascarpone whipped cream. Spread the cream evenly over the cake first, then place it in the refrigerator for a while. Then roughly cover it with cream and chill it again.
-
Knead 150 grams of flexible modeling paste and shape cones of different sizes. Place the cones on pretzel sticks. Divide the 150 grams of granulated sugar into three plastic bags. Add one green food coloring gel in each bag and mix. Slightly moisten the cones with water, then roll them in the green sugars. Place the Christmas trees on the cake just before serving.
