Frequently asked questions
Your questions, our advice
How do I apply the lace mixture to this mat?
Spread the mixture in a thin, even layer with an offset spatula, scrape off the excess, then leave to dry in the open air or in a low-temperature oven according to the instructions for your mix. Carefully unmold, starting at one corner, then place the lace on icing that is still slightly tacky or attach it with a thin layer of syrup.
How long does lace keep once unmolded?
Several weeks flat, dry and away from light, before placing on the cake. See also our edible lace mixes.
Are there other lace designs from Silikomart?
Yes, the full range of designs, classic, floral or botanical, is grouped in the Lace and relief mats collection.
