Its rigidity makes it the go-to base for rectangular layer cakes, number cakes, and heavy tiered cakes.

USAGE TIPS
- Secure the cake to the drum with a few dabs of royal icing or melted chocolate to prevent it from sliding during transport.
- For a number cake, allow 4 to 5 cm of clearance around the assembled numbers for handling and decorative edging.
- Place a sheet of acetate or baking paper beneath very moist cakes (mousses, fresh fruit) to protect the coating.
- Clean with a soft spatula, then wipe with a damp cloth. Never immerse the board in water.
