25 g Gel Food Coloring - Bright Green - ProGel
Concentrated gel food coloring, Bright Green shade, 25 g bottle
ProGel Bright Green evokes a fresh Granny Smith apple, a spring shoot. This concentrated gel food coloring in a 25 g size is designed for professional bakers and demanding cake design enthusiasts, and is especially popular for children's jungle-themed birthday cupcakes and nature- or garden-themed layer cakes. ProGel's signature advantage: it's a general-purpose coloring suitable for both water- and oil-based mixtures. It works just as well in water-based mixtures (royal icing, water-based glazes, syrups, meringues, macarons) as in fat-based mixtures (buttercream, ganache, tempered chocolate, fondant). One tube for the entire range of baking preparations, whereas some coloring products on the market require two separate ranges, one oil-soluble and the other water-soluble. The concentrated 25 g size covers 30 to 50 preparations, depending on the desired intensity.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions, our advice
How much should I use for 250 g of mixture?
For a pastel shade, use the tip of a toothpick. For a vivid shade, use 2 to 3 toothpick tips. For a dark, saturated shade, use 5 to 8 toothpick tips. It’s always easier to intensify a color than to lighten it, so it’s best to start with a small amount and adjust.
Does this gel mix with melted chocolate?
Yes, ProGel is designed to work with tempered chocolate too, unlike traditional water-based gel colorings, which cause chocolate to seize. Add a small amount of gel at the end of tempering, at 28-30 °C, and gently mix it in with a spatula.
How many batches can one tube color?
One 25 g tube of ProGel colors approximately 30 to 50 batches of 250 g, depending on the desired intensity, making it an economical size for regular use in the studio.
