Easy Pip pastilles ready to melt, for blue gems, stained glass, and pulled sugar.
Squires Kitchen Blue Pre-Tempered Isomalt comes in already tempered pastilles (Easy Pip format): simply melt them in the microwave to obtain liquid isomalt, ready to pour or work with, without cooking sugar or using a thermometer. Once cooled, it gives a translucent, glossy finish, colored throughout with E133 colorant, for blue decorations without any extra coloring.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions, our advice
Does this isomalt need to be cooked with a sugar thermometer?
No. The pastilles are already tempered: simply melt them in the microwave in 30-second intervals, with no need for the traditional sugar-cooking step.
Is it suitable for a winter- or ocean-themed cake?
Yes, its translucent blue color is ideal for the ice, wave, or sapphire effects sought for these themes.
Can it be combined with clear isomalt in the same piece?
Yes, you can pour both shades side by side or in successive layers while they are still malleable to create gradient or wave effects.
