Frequently asked questions
Your questions, our advice
How do you unmold the reindeer without damaging the details of the wood and hooves?
Don't overfill the mold. Scrape off excess paste at the edge, then turn the mold over while gently pressing from one corner to the other. A light dusting of cornstarch before filling makes unmolding even easier.
Can you paint the reindeer's nose red after unmolding?
Yes, once the fondant or flower paste has been unmolded and dried slightly, use a fine brush and gel food coloring to paint the nose red, Rudolph-style.
Is this mold also suitable for non-food crafts?
Yes, for non-food use, it can be used with cold porcelain, salt dough or air-dry clay. However, use a separate mold for each purpose to maintain food hygiene.
